Dr. Al Saeed qualified in medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland,
Dublin in 2007. She completed her basic specialist training in internal medicine in Beaumont Hospital,
Dublin and the University Hospital, Galway in 2012 and was awarded the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. She continued her training as a registrar in Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin before joining the Endocrinology Department at Dubai Hospital, UAE in 2015 where she has been actively involved in the adult endocrine and diabetes outpatient and inpatient service.
Dr. Al Saeed also holds a Masters in Medical Science degree in Health Informatics from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a thesis on dietary and medical management of morbid obesity. She is as well certified by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists in endocrine neck sonography and fine needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules.
She has a special interest in the management of obesity, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.
Dr. Ibrahim Aljanahi
Dr.Al-Janahi is Senior Consultant Endocrinology, Diabetes and metabolism at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin, Ireland in 1989 and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at HMC and The University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine, USA in 1995. He then completed fellowship training program in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, USA in 1997. He subsequently joined Endocrinology Division at HMC. Dr.Al-Janahi is a member of several academic and administrative committees at HMC and currently he is the chairman of the HMC Endocrine Inpatients Guidelines Committee. Also he is a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and Endocrine Society. His main area of interest is patients care and conducting teaching activities for students, residents and fellows as well as clinical research in diabetes and obesity.
Dr. Majedah Abdul-Rasool
Majedah AbdulRasoul, assistant professor of pediatric endocrinology in the faculty of medicine, Kuwait University.
After graduation from the same medical school, she did her pediatric residency program in McMaster University, Hamilton Canada as well as the American Board of pediatrics.
She did her fellowship program in Pediatric Endocrinology in The Hospital of Sick Children, Toronto, Canada, where insulin was discovered.
She established pediatric endocrinology units in 2 major hospitals in Kuwait and is currently managing around 400 children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes, including 100 on insulin pump.
Currently she is involved in teaching undergraduate students in the faculty of medicine as well as postgraduates in pediatric residency program and the endocrine subspecialty program.
She has multiple publications in pediatric diabetes and endocrinology in highly reputed journals, and she published a book on type 1 diabetes in Arabic, directed to the patients and their care-givers.
She is a member in various national and international diabetes societies.
